The Idea

After years of guiding travelers through Mendoza and listening closely to their feedback, I built this program around the very best the region has to offer — nothing generic, nothing filler. Every winery was chosen for its top-tier tasting, not just its name; every dinner, including a Michelin-recognized table, is genuinely the best available, not just the easiest to book.

This trip is designed for travelers who aren't counting pesos, but do count their days: no research, no logistics, no stitching together wineries and restaurants into a plan that actually flows. I've already done that — six days, carefully paced between full-immersion tasting days and slower, restorative ones, so the trip never feels rushed or exhausting.

Since I'm a local guide, not a travel agency, every detail is open to discussion. I'll personally meet you at the airport, and I'm with you throughout the entire trip.

Personal Airport Welcome & City Tour

Your host will greet you personally at Mendoza International Airport, then lead you on a relaxed, one-hour city tour — visiting Mendoza's main squares and learning about the city's history along the way.

Welcome Lunch

Lunch at a family-run restaurant: salad, main course, and drinks — a relaxed, home-style welcome before the wine tasting begins.

Bodega Matervini — Classic Wine Tasting

The visit begins right in the vineyard rows, where you'll get to know Matervini's Finca Wine expression of Malbec firsthand. From there, into the winery itself — an architectural standout with sweeping glass walls — for a brief tour of the production area and barrel room. The visit closes with a guided tasting on the terrace, overlooking the Mendoza countryside.

Hotel Check-In & Rest — Huellas de Chacras

4-star boutique tiny-house hotel in Chacras de Coria — gated grounds, private plunge pools, garden views. Time to unwind before dinner.

Dinner at Casa Vigil — "10 Steps" Tasting Menu

A Michelin-recognized restaurant from celebrated winemaker Alejandro Vigil — a red star for culinary excellence and a green star for sustainability. A 10-course tasting menu, each course paired with a distinct wine, including selections from his acclaimed El Enemigo label. An optional 45-minute winery tour is available before dinner.

Aconcagua

Full-Day Excursion to the Highest Peak in the Americas

Potrerillos Reservoir Viewpoints

Sweeping views over the turquoise Potrerillos reservoir, framed by the Andes. Pause here for photos, drone shots, and a taste of traditional Argentine mate.

Uspallata Valley & Local Lunch

Panoramic views over the Uspallata valley, with a flexible lunch stop — either in Uspallata or near your hotel on return, depending on pace — for traditional empanadas, in my opinion the best in all of Mendoza. Plus snacks along the way, so you won't go hungry.

Puente del Inca

A stop at this famous natural rock bridge, one of the Andes' most iconic landmarks, with time for photos and the local souvenir shops.

Aconcagua Provincial Park

The heart of the day: step out at the foot of Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Americas, with the option of a short walk to the main viewpoint or the full trail to the end.

Villavicencio Provincial Park

A stop at this protected natural reserve, home to the historic Villavicencio thermal springs and its iconic hotel, set against dramatic Andean scenery.

Return to Mendoza via Route 52 — A Wildlife Drive

One of the most unique stretches of the entire trip. Beyond the landscapes, keep an eye out along the way — with a bit of luck, you might spot guanacos, foxes, rheas, or even a puma in their natural habitat.

Viña Cobos — Expresión Varietal

A guided tour through the estate leads into a five-glass tasting of the Bramare and Vinculum lines — wines that reflect Viña Cobos's close relationship with the vineyard and the authenticity of each varietal, paired throughout with harmonized bites.

Bodega Ojo de Agua — Winery Lunch

A relaxed three-course lunch set against sweeping views of the Andes, each course paired with wine from the estate.

Cacheuta Thermal Springs

Three hours at this Andes riverside retreat, with natural thermal pools of varying temperatures, a lazy river, mud baths, and a cavern steam sauna. The perfect midpoint reset between two intense wine days.

Day 04

Valle de Uco

Wine Trail Through Argentina's High-Altitude Region

Morning Check-Out & Drive to Valle de Uco

After checking out, you'll head south on a scenic 90-minute drive into the Valle de Uco — one of Argentina's most celebrated high-altitude wine regions.

Michelini I Mufatto — Trinchera

A boutique, terroir-driven winery from two of Mendoza's most talked-about young winemakers. A guided tasting of up to six glasses of small-production, high-altitude red and white wines.

Salentein / Huentala Wines

A visit to one of Valle de Uco's architectural landmark wineries, with a guided tour and tasting in a striking cellar setting.

Domaine Bousquet — Light Lunch

An easy, organic-focused lunch surrounded by vineyards at one of Mendoza's leading organic wine estates.

Horseback Riding & Asado

The afternoon shifts pace entirely: a horseback ride through the vineyards followed by a traditional Argentine asado, Mendoza's most authentic culinary tradition.

Free Day at Your Wine Lodge

No fixed schedule — just your private lodge, set within a 270-hectare vineyard, and the freedom to set your own pace. Take the mountain bikes out to nearby wineries like Bodega Corazón del Sol, play a set of padel or tennis, or simply unwind with a cocktail at Hornero's bar. In the evening, dinner is included at the lodge's own restaurant.

Farewell & Departure

One Last Toast Before the Airport

After breakfast, you'll check out and set off toward the airport with your luggage — but the day isn't over yet. Two final stops await along the way.

Zuccardi — Morning Tasting

A fitting final stop: Zuccardi was named World's Best Vineyard three years running (2019–2021) and later inducted into the Hall of Fame, with three wines rated 100 points by Robert Parker — a feat no other Argentine winery has matched.

Renacer — Farewell Lunch

A 5-course tasting menu to close out the trip, with optional Reserva or Ícono wine pairings for those who want to go all in one last time.

Private Transfer to the Airport

Our last ride together — a relaxed, private drive to Mendoza International Airport, arriving with plenty of time before your flight for a proper goodbye.

How does the booking process work?

Fill out the request form below (or message me directly on WhatsApp) with your travel dates and group size. I personally review each request, confirm availability, and send you the final price before your reservation is locked in.

Do I need to pay in advance?

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your dates, with the remaining balance due before the tour begins. A few individual activities that need pre-booking (such as horseback riding) may call for a small additional deposit — I'll flag that when it applies.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, in USD or Argentine pesos, or by card — my vehicle carries a card terminal for on-the-spot payment.

Can the itinerary be adjusted?

Yes. This program is my personal recommendation, not a fixed template — happy to swap wineries, activities, or restaurants to match your preferences and availability.

Do you speak English?

Yes, fluent English throughout — I'm personally with you from airport pickup to drop-off, every day of the trip.
