The trail starts near the Cacheuta thermal springs and climbs to Cerro Baño, a summit at 2,220 m with views over the valley and the Andes. Press replay to walk it in 3D.
We would rather you choose the right day than the hardest one. The route is always adapted to the group, but a few things are worth knowing in advance.
Not sure? Choose our shorter, more comfortable hike with thermal springs instead, or send us a message and we will recommend the right day.
A short list so you arrive ready. If anything is missing, ask us and we will help you sort it out the day before.
The full route is a demanding day hike. Most guests with regular activity manage it, but the summit is a real climb, and weather decides a lot.
Four to six hours on the trail, with a steady ascent, short climbing sections and a summit at about 2,220 m. Fit hikers have completed the round trip in around five and a half hours, with plenty of photo stops.
If the group is tired, the weather turns, or the peaks are in fog, your guide shortens the route, turns back at the waterfall section or chooses a trail with less elevation gain, then continues by car to a viewpoint at Lake Potrerillos. You can also choose the short version in advance, and the thermal springs stay in the plan either way.
Private tour, priced per person by group size. Transport, guide, snacks, water and thermal springs entrance are included.
